How to Get Started
- Click the “Enroll Today” button to complete the form and process your payment.
- Log on to your account and click on the “Classes” button. Send the digital contract to your email to complete.
- Once you have completed your contract via our electronic process, it is automatically applied to your account.
- You can now start your course.
- Once you complete your course, you can print off your Completion Certificate for your records. We will notify the Wisconsin DMV of your completion within one business day. Please allow a few business days for processing with the DMV.

General Information
As of August 2025, Florida requires anyone under 18 years of age who has not been licensed in another jurisdiction to take this course before applying for their license. An online course is the easiest and most convenient way to fulfill your court requirement.
Our DETS course is fully approved by the state of Florida. It meets the mandated 6-hour time length and covers all the required content by the state of Florida.
If you are under 18 years old and have never been licensed in another jurisdiction, the Florida DETS course is required before applying for your license.
Once you’ve completed the DETS course, we will notify FLHSMV of your completion within five business days. You will receive an email with a certificate number once your completion has been submitted to the state. You will need to reference this certificate number when you apply for your permit.
In addition, upon successfully completing the final exam, you may download an electronic copy of your congratulatory certificate as proof that you’ve completed the course. Please note that this certificate is just for your records and will not help you apply for your permit.

Per the FLHSMV, “Drivers who are over the age of 18 and have never held —or do not have in their possession— a driver license from any other state, country or jurisdiction, must complete a 4-hour Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) course before applying for a license in Florida.” Please visit the FLHSMV website here to learn more.
Course Information
The course is a state-mandated 6 hours long. You can complete it in a single day or spread it over a few days. Your enrollment is valid for 90 days.
The course focuses on traffic laws, safe driving practices, impaired driving, and more!
Yes, your final exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. You need to score 80% or higher to pass, and you have three attempts to pass. If you do not pass the third attempt, you must restart the course from the beginning at no additional fee.
Once you pass the DETS course, we’ll submit the results to FLHSMV. You will receive an email with your certificate number within five business days to apply for your permit. You can download your congratulatory course completion certificate from your student account for proof of completion.

- Internet-enabled device: desktop/laptop computer, tablet, or smartphone. Tablets and phones older than 5 years may have difficulties with the course content.
- Computer speakers or headphones (to listen to audio in course videos)
- Internet connection: 2-5 Mbps download bandwidth
- Browser support: Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox
- Internet Explorer is not supported
- The browser must have cookies and JavaScript enabled
- Adobe Reader or another PDF viewer (for electronic certificates)
