Florida 6-Hour Online Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) AGREEMENT

The online program will provide all required materials. This program is intended to meet the requirements of the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).The AAA Driver Training Program does not guarantee issuance of a state driver’s license to the student.

Instruction of a student shall not begin until the following items have been submitted:

Full payment of tuition
Student signed agreement, parent/guardian signature for students under 18 years old

By signing the agreement, student acknowledges:

1) They are the person taking the online course.
2) They will take a final exam consisting of 40 questions on course content and score 80% or higher to receive a certificate of completion. Student will have (3) attempts to pass final exam. Failure to answer 80% correctly will result in a course failure and the course fee will not be refunded.
3) Student validation checkpoints are distributed throughout the course; student will answer a series of content and personal questions in order to identify they are the person taking the course. Student will be presented a series of questions prior to starting the course; they must remember their answer in order to answer the personal validation questions. The validation questions will ask questions about themself and specific events that happened in the course. Failure to answer a validation question will result in course failure and the course fee will not be refunded.

The student will be liable for this agreement in the full amount even if the course is not completed. If the student is under 18 years old, the parent/guardian and the student will be jointly liable for this agreement in the full amount even if the course is not completed.

Parent/Guardian Permission for Driver Training Instruction (if student is under 18 years old)

I hereby give consent for my son/daughter to take the AAA online Driver Training course which will include six (6) hours of online instruction.

This constitutes the entire agreement between the school and the customer or student and no verbal statement or promises will be recognized.
